… would be an understatement. We had had a few instances when the Flex has had some issues over the last couple weeks. One such incident left Kris stranded at one of the few EPG jobs she has had this fall. Shortly after that, the car was overheating while in traffic so I dug into the causes since I really would rather not hand any more of our hard earned money over to the shop that I am getting frustrated with.
Overheating when idling should tell us that the fan/fans are not working. so after testing a few items, I replaced the fan speed controller. Nope… no change. The only other thing would be the fan assembly itself… yep, that did the trick and it only took about an hour to swap out the parts sourced from Amazon.
Go Flex! (We DO NOT want to buy a car right now)
