Each year we go through this…. the realization that time accelerates as one gets older and the needle that shows that speed points at our children. Six seems like a huge number to a kid that was only an infant a few months ago… right? Alas, here we are. He turned six. I turned forty…cough, cough.
Coronavirus has no doubt left its foot print on the world and simple celebrations like birthdays are not immune. No big backyard party. No kids gymnastics gatherings. No Disneyland trip. Despite the fact we didn’t go big, it was still a very big year. Ryder is quickly transitioning from little kid to big kid in a hurry, not just in stature, but in his personality and how he carries himself and we couldn’t be more proud.
