The Backfin of a Chesapeake Blue Crab is known as the most tender and flavorful meat of the crab. It too has been the family name of the Finley’s boats for decades. The newest family member to be emblazoned with the name is the Catalina 42 which was purchased earlier this year. While it has been a roller coast getting the boat to Annapolis (she was purchased in Oriental NC) and sorting through all of the upgrades and repairs… she now proudly bears the Backfin name and is ready for prime time usage by the Finley/Wienold family. Soon enough, wonderful memories will be forged on-board and the waters of the Chesapeake Bay.
