We coaxed mom into coming out to visit a second time this summer. Normally August wears a dreaded cloak of high heat and oppressive humidity. But somehow she packaged up some of her central California coastal weather and brought it with her. Clear skies, low humidity, and fall temperatures greeted us as she toured my office at ABYC, The Maritime Republic of Eastport and a boat ride from Eastport Yacht Center on Back Creek around to Eastport Yacht Club for lunch. What a gorgeous day.
