Mom had long been wanting to contribute in a lasting and meaningful way to the new baby yet many of the items on our registry were snatched up already. Shortly after the first shower a check arrived (along with the requisite loaf of SLO sourdough). We felt that a piece of real furniture was the right way to go and something JP could use not just in his childhood, hopefully years to come. We found this piece at a furniture store in Crofton where we had previously bought the guest bed. Kris knew it was the one and ordered it in a different color than they had in stock. It matches the hand-me-down crib almost perfectly right down to the stile shape. I hope JP likes it as much as we do.
The larger of the two rugs was given to us by one of the owners of Bebop long before we settled on the sailing theme for his room. It fits in as if we had designed the room around it yet it only arrived a week ago when Mike brought it to the NOODs.
