Light breeze with gusts surprisingly to the high teens. Our first race started clean and Bebop was running fast with the rig tune. By the first mark we had a 3 minute lead and by the finish we had completed our “horizon job”.
Second race was a flukey start that the RC shouldn’t have even gotten underway. We had no speed off the line and found ourselves watching the sterns of 4 boats. But the downwind was beneficial for us and we started drawing back the competition. By the finish, we had secured 2nd.
The third race we had a decent start but we weren’t pointing well and had to tack out. We settled in to the right side of the course and aided by the left shift we took back several boats by the first mark. Slowly we reeled back the other spots for our second bullet of the day.
