Three!
Three!

Three!

Holy smokes… where does the time go? Born yesterday… three today? Is that really how this works? We knew from the beginning that a December birthday would sneak up on us every year because of all the other stuff happening around this time, and indeed it does. Only a week after Thanksgiving and well within the sights of “the big day” in any child’s eyes it would be understandable that the 2nd of December might get lost in the shuffle so we make sure that this day is as important as any of the highlighted days on the calendar and truly moreso for us.

Now that Ethan is in school and gaining some friends, it was time to gather the troops and celebrate his day. We rented some time at a local kids gymnasium that had a party room for he and his school friends as well as a couple of Ryder’s and of course the usual old people (geeze… I’m not in that category right?). The kids had a blast with the place to themselves followed by the typical influx of massive amounts of sugar. What would childhood be without tooth decaying dense frosting and heart palpitating chocolate delivered straight to the veins?

Ethan, you are a ball of fire like no other. Opinionated and wildly independent, challenging and yet warm and thoughtful. We can’t wait to see what the years ahead hold for you.

Happy birthday!
