Continued from Little Wolf

Our last stop was a long haul from Little Wolf Pond which was by design so that we would have an easy last day of driving before arriving home on the 4th of July. We stopped at Timothy Lake South which is a Thousand Trails campground outside of East Stroudsburg, PA in the Pocono Mountains. Our good weather envelope finally ran out and it started raining after we arrived and only gave us a few hours on Saturday to be outside. After the week we had had filled with activities, this was a good thing, to decompress a little, watch some TV and listen to the rain on the roof before getting back to reality. We didn’t venture too far other than a quick shopping trip for fuel and supplies. Our site was pretty typical for Thousand Trails but overall a good location. Anything was going to be tough to follow the Little Wolf site so we tried to keep our spoiled thoughts at bay. This would make a good jump off location in the future, either for more Adirondack trips or exploration of the Poconos.
