While the big one is turning 6 years old, the little one is turning 6 months old. Once again, time stops for no man but instead trucks ahead like a semi on I70 in Nebraska.
Some people say they don’t notice the daily incremental changes in a child, however its hard not to with a kid that grows half an inch per day. His 6 mo checkup revealed he was off the charts, literally. At 31.25 inches and 25lbs he’s way over the 99th percentile. A coworker’s child turned one this weekend… Ethan is the same size. A client’s child had her 18 month check up last week… Ethan is larger than she is. He’s out grown his 12 month clothes. He wears size 4 diapers. He spills out of the mama-roo instead of being bound up like a little cocoon. He is larger than life… at least 6 month old life.
Beyond his super human life, he’s a sweet, smiling (mostly) well behaved baby boy. He LOVES his big brother and intently watches everything he does (scary!). He sleeps well, eats well and poops well (details that only a parent would appreciate). Two teeth popped through his bottom gums last week so the last thing you want to do is let him put your finger in his mouth.
He’s an amazing addition to our family and we love him dearly.
