When I imagine people deciding a color for a room, I imagine swatches painted on the wall in different shades, but mostly of the same color. Well, Not this time… not for us. We struggled finding a color we both like for the baby’s room and as a result, we had color all over the map: Blues (we actually wanted to stay away from blue since it was dominant in the house already including Ryder’s room), yellow, greens, beiges and more. I think had someone wandered in during this process, they would have definitely thought we were color blind.
We tore up the room Tom was using a week after he left and dug in to painting it and getting it ready for our new little one. In the end, we went with a soft yellow. It looks a little darker than we thought it would, but it looks very classic with the stained trim and wood floors. Next up is getting the crib built and finding the rest of the furniture.
