With me being one of Santa’s largest supporters (in Annapolis at least) I knew there would be something to do last minute before the big day arrived. This year, Santa wanted to bring Mr. Outside Adventurer himself a swing set including a tire swing. I figured it would be easy enough considering there is no shortage of trees that could support a couple of swings. I decided on a simple design that put a beam between two trees to hang the accessories from. Amazon sent the hardware (on Santa’s behalf of course) and I mounted everything. Christmas Eve day (nothing like last minute right) I located a used tire from a local shop that was a good size and condition (not too nasty). Finally, after Christmas Eve dinner at Fritz and Camille’s house, I wandered back into the yard to hang the last items and rig the tire. Yep, I’m a dad… building stuff at nearly midnight on a cold Christmas Eve by headlamp.
