Mom and Dad are pretty lo-key about most things and a momentous milestone such as their 50th Wedding Anniversary was no exception. Even though mom urged us that it was no big deal, we wouldn’t miss the occasion. Mom had already planned to have a nice dinner out with Bob the kids and the kid’s kids, so we flew into town the day before to spend some time with them and we’re so glad we did.
No surprise, mom wanted Mexican food so we gathered at a new favorite in Oceano for the 15 of us. Mike even came into town as well. Good times were had by all and it was wonderful to share this celebration with two people who had shared half a century together.
Unfortunately we couldn’t stay for long. Early the next morning we left for Colorado where another 50th was being celebrated. No rest for the weary…
