It had bugged me for the year and a half that we’ve now been in the Duvall house, that the land outside our immediate yard was vastly overgrown and had been the dumping ground for yard waste and tree debris for probably the last 20 years. With Kris and Ryder down in North Carolina, I had the first free weekend in quite a while to do as I pleased so I reached out to my neighbor with the giant chipper we used last march.
While not the most exciting way to spend a weekend especially considering how extremely hot and humid it was, I fed the beast throughout virtually all available daylight both Saturday and Sunday. I wish I could say I got everything done, but I cleared out the majority on each side property line and it looks now as though the space can breath at last. I cleared the path all the way around the property, so when the time comes for the fall fest, I can provide hay rides for the little tykes.
