Spring!?!
Spring!?!

Spring!?!

March 21st of 2018 marks the first day of spring. Or at least that’s what the calendar says but this particular year it feels more like February as we received 8 inches of snow throughout the day.

Usually it will snow overnight but this storm arrived well after the commuting hours of the morning and we thought the meteorologists had once again missed the mark when we woke to a completely dry landscape. The local governments all closed down making us think they had all gone crazy. But by 9am, the flakes started to fall.

By noon I had plowed the driveway and road with the tractor which I had been itching to do for some time. I would have to do it once more around 5 as the inches piled up. It slowed shortly after that and our property was dressed in her dress whites.

With no school and no work, we all got to enjoy a proper snow day… building snowmen and throwing snowballs while keeping the fireplace warm for frequent trips inside for cocoa.

Of course, the splendid day in the snow was not without its mishaps too.
