Now or never…

Communication between Kris, the kennel, and the shelter has been difficult over the weekend. A large influx of dogs has made them unresponsive and unwilling to help transport Mattie and Angus to the Kentucky/West Virginia border as had perviously been discussed. Not to mention, we were either going to pay a kennel fee for any furthere extensions, or they were going to put the dogs down before we would have a chance to come pick them up. So the decision was made, to drive to Kentucky before dawn this morning to retrieve them and return late tonight. 10 or so hours each way. A tight schedule prompted the quick decision, but alas, it was one that had to be made.

Kristin left with a friend and rescue advocate Magaly this morning around 4 and they have been trading off driving duties most of the day. Arriving there this afternoon and turning right around to come home with two grateful creatures safely in the back of the Durango. They will come back here and be showered with attention from two sisters they have yet to meet and have the freedom to roam the yrad and explore without threat of having their lives cut short.

We will start posting through the rescue channels, their availability and pictures to help them find their forever, loving home. The caveat will be that the two will not be seperated. They will remain companions wherever life leads them.
