Hotter than Hot

My new (ish) role at ABYC has me producing educational content in various forms for the marine industry. Usually that consists of me sitting in front of a computer for long periods, editing online course work or doing voice over (again and again and again, cause I suck at it).

Last week Ed Sherman came down to do some filming which provided a much needed escape from the office to play on a brand new Scout out of a local sales office. It’s an absolutely stunning boat, but it was hard to enjoy as the Chesapeake July had us firmly in it’s grip. Temps were in the mid to upper 90s which doesn’t sound bad until you factor in the humidity which could choke an elephant. The “real feel” was something like 115. And there we were… in the stagnant, protected still waters of the Chesapeake, gasping for air and drinking water like we were hiking on the sun.

Next time we’re scheduling this for May.
