3 Already!?

Its official now, he’s no longer a baby. 3 years old puts him into the toddler and almost “kid” stage. We had been planning Ryder’s party for what felt like months.

The construction theme steamrolled (see what I did there?) into perfect plan for the boy who loves tools, tractors, equipment and dirt. He had cone shaped water bottles, hard hats and safety glasses for the kids. Construction signs adorned the backyard and pointed towards the “Party Site” where a dump truck pinata waited for destruction. We will have leftover burgers, cake, munchies and drinks for weeks.

Somehow, when the day finally arrived, we lucked out with the weather for his party which was last Saturday. The huge rainstorm Friday cleared out just long enough beforehand to let the backyard dry out a bit. Kids and parents arrived in droves around noon and we finally got to see how our new place would handle so many people…. about 35 in all, each with their own minivan or soccer SUV. We actually had parking… woohoo!!
