With all the de-cluttering and project activity at the house, there has been some debate as to whether we should decorate for the holidays. There’s no question that furniture gets re-arranged, seasonal pieces get added to the mix and this big tree thing takes up space. The extra stuff adds to the clutter we are trying to clear up to make the space as attractive as possible to a potential buyer.
We made the decision that Ryder’s life experiences far out weighed the negative impact of a few decoration on our house. So, we continued our tradition of making our way down to Friendship Tree Farm to hunt down the tree. We did accept that we should downsize it a bit as well as locate it in a portion of the house that provides a little more floor space. So it was put in the basement for a change of scenery. We haven’t decorated it yet, but that will be done in the next day or two while mom and dad are here.
