Initially when Jason and Anne planned to travel here for Ryder’s birthday, their departure date was going to be the 23rd of May. It’s a good thing we looked over the calendar one more time before they locked in their itinerary because they were narrowly missing an Annapolis highlight by one two days. So they shuffled some dates around and stayed until the 26th instead in order to see the Blue Angels airshow at the US Naval Academy. The cool thing was that the new Backfin was available to use and there was no better way to see the airshow then from the water. What an awesome afternoon.
To cap off the trip, the 25th being a Wednesday, was also race night. So I arranged to have Jason join us on board Better Mousetrap for a race around the marks so he could get a glimpse of what I spend my free time doing these days instead of pedaling. It was a gorgeous evening for a sail and we met up afterwards at EYC for dinner and cocktails.
