Trees that is. It’s a seemingly endless quest to limit liability and reclaim acreage that has been unusable for decades. This time around we had a couple guys come in to take down some of the higher risk trees that were on the property. Two of the larger pines on the north side by the road which were within reach of Jackie’s house, plus the dead fir in the front yard and finally our huge leaner which we’ve been sure would take out the tree house at some point in the near future. They left the tree debris which saved me a couple grand but unfortunately that also means I must now get to the dump a few times to get this stuff out of here before its overrun by spring weeds.
The two tall pines were dealt with swiftly and I was feeling good that the crew knew what they were doing. It sort of went downhill from there. The fir was messy to say the least and I’m pretty sure it was one constant OSHA violation throughout the work when the big leaner came down… but they got it done. Whew.
Edit… all good intentions to protect the tree house are foiled.
